Outbound call centers are vital customer contact tools in a variety of industries, and it is important for companies in these industries to keep track of the latest news and trends in the outbound call center space. This week, there was a great deal of news, including reports that spoke of the importance of outbound call centers, solutions to help meet evolving customer needs, and companies interested in the evolution of call centers.

A recent post from B2B perspective spoke about the importance of outbound call centers, especially when searching for free sales appointments, which are always good. The post recommended seeking out popular and reliable outbound business call centers, ones that employ professional cold callers who spend all day contacting hundreds of targeted business prospects. These companies can provide you with leads on a pay-per-call basis, meaning they can get you what you need at an extremely cheap – almost free – rate, which is good for business.

Also this week, Expert Planet revealed that it is using Five9’s (News - Alert) cloud-based contact center software in order to offer better service to its clients. It had outgrown its own on-premise infrastructure and was looking for powerful application programming interfaces to configure its contact center programs and real time links with customer data. “Five9 offered a robust pre-packaged integration to Salesforce and Web services APIs that enabled us to more rapidly respond to evolving customer requirements than we would be able to achieve through custom coding,” said Greg Levow, vice president of technology at Expert Planet. “The drag-and-drop nature of these tools resulted in significant cost savings and less of a demand on our technology team.”

Finally this week, cloud services provider Evolve IP revealed that its high-performance cloud services have provided a number of benefits to Prudent Publishing Company’s roster of clients. Prudent took advantage of the Evolved Call Center, which is an enterprise-class virtual contact center solution that integrates into Evolve’s hosted PBX (News - Alert) service. "We're proud that Prudent Publishing selected Evolve IP's award-winning hosted call center," said Tim Allen, chief sales officer at Evolve IP (News - Alert). "Businesses of all sizes are rapidly moving their IT services and infrastructure to the cloud to get better quality services, free up IT resources and save significant money.”
