Synchronoss Technologies (News - Alert) has been selected by Mediacom Communications to provide a mobile customer care application for its users. According to Synchronoss, this new mobile customer care application helps customers of Mediacom Communications to get immediate and simple access to Mediacom customer service with the help of a smartphone or tablet.

Synchronoss offers automation software and cloud technology solutions to its customers. For Tier One Communications (News - Alert) Service Providers (CSP) and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) across the world, the company’s solutions connect, synchronize and activate any device or service across any channel or network.

With an expedited time to market at a lower cost of service, the company provides a best-in-class customer experience.

With the help of MediacomConnect, customers get an easy way to troubleshoot and resolve service inquiries. They can also schedule appointments and view or pay bills with this.

MediacomConnect is created specially to enhance important customer care services and functions.

“Service providers are quickly realizing the value of adding a mobile self-service application as a way to improve customer relationships,” said Biju Nair (News - Alert), executive vice president, Product Management & Chief Strategy Officer at Synchronoss. “SmartCare is truly designed to improve customer satisfaction with advanced features, such as call back, that lets customers schedule a specific time to receive a call back from the customer care agent.”

“With the adoption of SmartCare, Mediacom will enhance the customer experience,” Nail said.

Recently, the company was included in Software Magazine's Software 500 ranking of the world's largest software and service providers, now in its 30th year. The ranking took into consideration the total global software and services revenue for 2011. This consists of revenue from software licenses, maintenance and support, training and software-related services and consulting.

Since many have other lines of business such as hardware, suppliers are not ranked on total corporate revenue.
