Pervasip Unveils Marketing Program to Convert its Free Subscribers
December 06, 2012
VoX Mobile App from Pervasip allows 60 minutes of calls to 60 countries for free. While traveling abroad, users can avoid high roaming charges by using Wi-Fi or 3G/4G Data Plan on any Android (News - Alert) device. This can be done without using carrier minutes.
They can also get unlimited SIP/VoIP and VoLTE calling and instant messaging to other VoX Mobile customers from anywhere in the world.
Recently, the company appointed outside marketing firms to contact its subscribers who have deployed VoX Mobile VoIP App on their Android devices. The major purpose of this exercise is to convert them into paid subscribers, the company stated.
A VoX subscriber can receive phone calls without any inbound calling charges, upon buying a paid app, including the "Pay and Go" product. They can also make calls to any landline or cell phone in the world.
International calling rates are considerably less than most calling plans, and consist of the lowest rates among major carriers.
“With more than 100,000 downloads of our app, we have a significant list of free app users who we can contact and offer our premium product, said Paul Riss, the firm’s CEO. "We typically have approximately 500 daily downloads from the Google (News - Alert) Play and Samsung app stores, and we plan to call these free subscribers and invite them to use our paid-for product. We believe that with a little encouragement, many of these subscribers can be walked through the process of signing up for our premium service.”
In 2011, the company sent notice to an investor to purchase a convertible debt instrument. At a 45-percent discount to market, the investor will have the option to change approximately $100,000 of debt into common stock.
For $0.08 per share, Pervasip has also changed $224,000 of debt on its balance sheet into common stock.
