enVista, a supply chain consulting and IT services firm, showcased its latest innovation idea, Facility Design Build. enVista has worked on building the team for over two years and creating its own building model.
enVista’s mission is to “provide the highest quality professional services and innovative solutions to enable enterprise excellence” by partnering with experts who can help implement, empower and educate the building team to maximize results.
Since forming the team, the company has completed projects for numerous companies, including ECCO, Dansko, Horizon Hobby and Pet Supplies Plus. The company credits a lot of its success to the experience of its staff.
“The marriage of deep supply chain consulting and third-party systems integration, combined with more than 20 years of design build and cost-justified engineering experience, is a game changer for clients, enabling companies to partner with a single point of contact for program management, team process optimization, and facility engineering to build,” said enVistas.
In addition to just building, the company offers support for its clients in all aspects of a project, including enterprise and IT consulting, operations management, supply chain consulting and software and systems implementation.
“We took a different approach when we developed this business unit,” said enVista president and CEO Jim Barnes. “It starts with exceptional talent that is focused on 100 percent client satisfaction. We are not a material handling equipment vendor that takes orders. Our goal is to implement solutions that create economic value for our clients. Unlike many material handling system integrators, our livelihood is not dependent on how much conveyor we install.”
It displayed the innovation to attendees of the handling, logistics and supply chain event, ProMat 2013, taking place Jan 21. and Jan 22, 2013.
“There are very few firms that can develop an IT application road map strategy for a retailer,” said Mike Kasperski, managing partner of supply chain services at enVista. “The power in our solution offering is that we understand inventory optimization and product flow; therefore, we are truly optimizing supply chains from source to consumption.”
