Mokulele Airlines Moves Call Center to Maui for Better Service

After listening to customer service feedback, Mokulele Airlines announced it has finalized its call center move from the mainland to Maui. The airlines relocated in order to expand its services and have more informed agents answering the calls.

Mokulele Flight Service, Inc. (also known as Mokulele Airlines) is a Kona-based airline that operates scheduled interisland and charter flights throughout Hawaii. The airline basically services smaller airlines, airports and charter flights internally – letting locals get from one island to another.

Hansen said at least 80 percent of its passengers are residents from the state.

Currently, Mokulele Airlines operates flights to Hawaii, Lanai, Maui, Molokai and Oahu.

The airline service has always had its customers in mind. In December of 2011, the airline unveiled plans to begin operating a charter service from Honolulu to Illinois and London. A few months later, the firm began offering daily services between Maui and Lanai to help with increase flight demand.

In an effort to improve and upgrade in flight service, the airline announced it would be giving free water and cookies during all flights beginning August 2012.

Since expanding its fleet, the airline has been in desperate need of a call center and constructed one on the mainland. After completing some customer service surveys, the company realized the importance of moving the call center to Maui.

Not only will it enhance the agents knowledge of the island, but it will also create a number of jobs that otherwise would not exist in Maui.

“We’re getting great feedback from our corporate customers who travel regularly on Mokulele,” said Ron Hansen, CEO at Mokulele Airlines. “We’re committed to taking care of our customers and making sure that their questions are answered quickly and correctly. Our new Maui call center makes it possible for us to meet that goal.”
