Pieroth Wines Selects Azzurri to Improve Customer Service
February 21, 2013
Selling wines directly to consumers is a profitable business for many wine manufacturers. But it’s not an easy job. It’s often difficult for wineries to get customers into tasting rooms, convert visitors into steady customers, and encourage them to join the wine club, buying regular wine.
With its recent strategic partnership with Azzurri Communications (News - Alert), Pieroth Wines will be able to improve the quality of its customer service in direct wine sales. The concept of direct sales and developing one-to-one business relationships with customers has made life much easier for wine enthusiasts.
Pieroth Wines, a company in direct wine sales, has selected Azzurri Communications to offer its managed services to improve the quality of customer service and reduce overall costs.
Operationg within 20 countries worldwide, Pieroth Wines has been in direct wine sales since 1675. The firm started the ‘direct’ business model in 1953, and boasts a sales team that offers personal in-home wine tastings across Australia.
“Pieroth relies on sales orders coming into the office daily from our sales team and directly from clients, so any downtime equates to lost business. We wanted a partner who understood our business and would take the initiative with our communications needs. Azzurri stood out from other potential providers because they quickly grasped what our objectives were. They are focused on quality customer service, and their proposal would save us money,” said Bjoern Strassburger, director of Finance and Administration at Pieroth Wines.
Pieroth will use Azzurri’s comUnity service platform as it matches with Pieroth’s requirements and the financial proposition. The Azzurri’s comUnity service platform will provide a fully managed WAN and firewall, a single telephony platform, and system-wide reporting tools to Pieroth.
This platform will increase productivity across the business.
Jon Evans Azzurri, Communications Managing Director, added in a statement, “The alternative is a proven communications provider that can supply the latest and best technology as a fully managed service delivering significant cost savings and enhanced communication capabilities.”
