Yucheng Technologies Limited, a provider of IT solutions and services to China’s banking industry, has reportedly built a standalone credit card call center for China Minsheng Bank, with new systems designed to track and avert fraud.
Headquartered in Beijing, Yucheng has approximately 2,000 employees and has established an extensive network for serving its banking clients nationwide, with subsidiaries and representative offices in 23 cities.
The call center backed by Yucheng includes customer information and data analysis systems, which can identify fraudulent credit card applications and improper account access, to reduce Minsheng’s credit card risk exposure.
Also, Minsheng Bank cardholders can review multiple accounts seamlessly, and will be able to streamline many business practices. Yucheng says it plans to expand Minsheng’s call center seats to 600 in the first phase of the project, which is three times the current capacity.
Officials at Yucheng said that, company’s solution offers scalability, reliability and responsiveness in phase II that will further increase Minsheng’s call center capabilities in the highly competitive credit card market. Moreover, Channel Solutions utilized by the Bank will enable it to easily communicate with its customers.
Weidong Hong, chief executive officer of Yucheng, said, “As China’s number one provider of Channel Solutions, including call center and online banking, we are pleased to offer innovative solutions that add a competitive advantage, while lowering operating risk. We look forward to further developing our relationship with Minsheng and our presence in this market.”
The company was recently in news for expanding the scope of Bank of East Asia’s personal e-banking services to enhance the customer experience. Yucheng developed BEA’s (News - Alert) initial personal online banking platform in early 2008 to wide industry acclaim. The platform was honored as the “Outstanding Online Banking Platform for a Foreign Bank” at the Decennium Celebration of China Commercial Internet.
Apart from providing comprehensive suite of IT solutions and services to Chinese banks, Yucheng is also a third-party provider of POS merchant acquiring services in partnership with banks in China.
