Gartner Positions Symphony Services in Magic Quadrant

By Calvin Azuri, TMCnet Contributor

Gartner, Inc. has positioned Symphony Services as one of the top companies in the Telecom Expense Management Magic Quadrant, Worldwide 2010. The evaluation for Magic Quadrant position is based on a company’s completeness of vision and ability to execute.

An announcement in this regard has been made by the top company in software product engineering and outsourced managed services, Symphony Services.

With the help of scalable Software Management Solutions or SMS platform and services, Symphony Services supports its clients, the company said.

The clients of Symphony Services include Telecom Expense Management (TEM) and Mobile Device Management (MDM) companies across the globe. Clients' customer service costs are reduced with Symphony Services' award-winning product resources along with a global team of product development and managed service experts.

Global provisioning and asset management can be also improved for the clients. They are also able to gain greater visibility of IT and telecommunications costs.

In a release, Alan Harlan (News - Alert), president, software management solutions at Symphony Services said, "We are very pleased to be included in the Leaders quadrant. We believe this to be a recognition by Gartner (News - Alert) of our commitment to delivering the strongest global communications lifecycle management offering in the market today. "

Harlan added that the company will continue to provide world-class wireless and fixed managed services, IT infrastructure and TEM lifecycle management. The company will leverage its worldwide resources and technology capabilities for the same.

Due to the company’s reach and performance in the TEM and MDM sector, Symphony Services believes it has achieved this position in the Magic Quadrant. While continuing to invest in TEM/IT solutions, the company has built an effective, flexible Cloud-Based TEM system. This has helped Symphony Services to remain at the forefront as needs of the clients evolve.

The Magic Quadrant from Gartner, Inc. is a graphical representation of a marketplace at and for a specific period of time. Gartner's analysis of how certain vendors measure against criteria for that marketplace is depicted by the Magic Quadrant. The criteria for that marketplace are defined by Gartner.

A strict metrics-driven approach is offered by Symphony Services’ innovative Engineering Outcome Certainty engagement model, ensuring complete alignment with clients' business objectives, the company said.
