eMOBUS, a provider of mobility management services, recently announced that it has been selected by ROEL Construction, an ENR ranked Top 400 Contractor for the last 18 years, to automate the management of their corporate cell phone environment.

eMOBUS (News - Alert) said its EMM platform will help ROEL Construction to reduce time in managing their mobile devices.

"Invoice processing alone used to take us eight hours each month," said Kevin Fitzpatrick, IT director for ROEL Construction, in a press release. "With eMOBUS' TRUE USAGE report, cellular accounting takes us less than 20 minutes and it's more accurate now that we can allocate costs by each individual's usage, rather than their service plan."

eMOBUS’ EMM platform not only improves cost allocation but also takes the guesswork out of pairing plans with users’ devices and their usage, making it easy to prevent overspending. Other formerly manual processes include auditing the bill for additional charges, provisioning equipment and managing contracts.

"We were doing a pretty good job of managing the costs," said Fitzpatrick. "However, compared to the amount of time and effort that went into managing cellular, it was much more cost-effective to go with eMOBUS."

Fitzpatrick continued that eMOBUS gives ROEL more control and visibility with less effort. "The system is lean; we can access the information we need quickly and easily. The monthly summary gives me a high-level overview of what has changed since the prior month. My eMOBUS account manager makes a few recommendations, I approve the changes I want implemented and they take care of the rest," he said.
