Openet, a provider of Subscriber Optimization Software (SOS (News - Alert)) to communications and media service providers, announced that it has been upgraded to Preferred Solution Developer status within the mobile packet core technology category in the Cisco Developer Network.
In addition, Openet’s (News - Alert) Policy Manager, Convergent Charging, Network Edge Rating, Balance Manager, Profile Manager and Convergent Mediation products have completed interoperability testing with Cisco (News - Alert) network platforms including ASR 5000, CSG, CSG2, SCE and the eGGSN.
The company completed interoperability verification testing based on criteria set by Cisco. With this verification, Openet is supposed to offer 24 hour, 7 days a week customer support to its customers.

The Cisco Developer Network unites Cisco with third-party developers of hardware and software to offer tested interoperable solutions to joint customers.
As a Preferred Solution Developer, Openet has worked closely with Cisco to offer solutions that deliver interoperability with Cisco networking solutions. Openet shares Cisco’s commitment to customer service and satisfaction, company officials said.
With services such as Openet Policy Manager and Openet Convergent Charging, customers can deploy Cisco Compatible business applications, devices, or services that can enhance the capabilities, performance, and management of their Cisco network.
Currently, operators are deploying innovative business models and they control the allocation of network resources to ensure more satisfaction among customers. Openet's offerings are designed to attract subscribers and provide an optimal experience, minimize the cost to serve them and maximize revenue for the operators, the company said.
