Telcentris (News - Alert) announced the launch of VoxOx 2, a free consumer service that unifies communication channels like voice, video, IM, text, social message, e-mail, fax into a single use interface. This enhanced second generation release is in beta at present, said the company.
The new features of the release will include personal assistant which answers, screens and routes calls based on individual preferences. The other enhancements include worldwide two-way texting from the user’s VoxOx phone number, and all in one interface and enhanced social networking support such as IM integration for Twitter, Facebook (News - Alert), MySpace and others, said company officials.
Faster load time, better streamlined user interface and less memory consumption are performance enhancements added to the new version. It also offers full two-way network and contact syncing into the cloud.
VoxOx helps deal with the overload issues arising due to the growth of disparate communication channels. Netpop research reports that in one week 105 million Americans participate in social media and several million Americans are involved in six or more social media activities connecting with 248 people on a one-to-many basis. Mobile Marketer also reports similar figures and estimates that more than 30 billion messages are sent on IM and social networks every day.
“The explosive growth we’ve experienced since our initial beta launch just seven months ago validates the need for a product like VoxOx, and with VoxOx 2’s enhanced features, functionality and performance, we will continue to solve the communication challenges of consumers worldwide,” said Bryan Hertz, CEO of TelCentris, Inc.
VoxOx 2 features meta address book which combines all contacts of the user’s disparate communications networks in a single, easy-to-use interface with full synching of all the data into the cloud which can be accessed from anywhere.
Major social networks like Facebook, MySpace (News - Alert), Twitter and others are integrated into the system. Also true two-way text messaging around the world from a free VoxOx phone number is made available which allows communication to and from any mobile device from within VoxOx.
The advanced voice features include full inbound/outbound calling capabilities and a personal assistant which answers and screens calls, routes callers based on preferences and blocks unwanted callers. The service plays custom ringtones and allows call forwarding, one-number-follow-me service, on-the-fly conference calling, call recording, and also provides the ability to change caller ID.
