C-COM (News - Alert) Satellite Systems is offering its second session of theoretical and hands-on training to its dealers. On April 20-22, the company will hold an on-site intensive workshop at its Ottawa headquarters on various aspects of the iNetVu portable satellite system set-up and configuration.
Attendees will also get hands-on training in third-party component integration, maintenance and troubleshooting.
C-COM will provide a comprehensive manual in CD format, company officials said, adding that the intended audience is the iNetVu certified installers, iNetVu technical support personnel and “anyone wishing to become a certified iNetVu maintenance technician.”
According to Dr. Leslie Klein, C-COM’s president and CEO, the hands-on training is essential for those who want to maximize the benefits of the iNetVu system.
“The iNetVu Mobile antennas are mechanical devices that are controlled with a sophisticated controller manufactured by C-COM,” Klein told TMCnet. “The units and the satellite modem work hand in hand to deliver broadband connectivity, video and voice inside the vehicle at a push of a button.”
Attendees will walk away with a better understanding of how the technology works and information on how to install and connect these devices so they perform in an optimal fashion.
