Stellar Satellite Communications, a leading remote asset tracking company, announced that a high-tech facility, located near the Dulles International Airport, will serve as its new world headquarters and customer base for the rail, trailer, oil and gas and container industries. Stellar Satellite designs industry’s best satellite and terrestrial modems, which are used to track and monitor assets worldwide.

In the month of August 2010, ORBCOMM, the largest satellite data communications company with international presence, decided to sell all the assets of its fully-owned subsidiary, Stellar Satellite Communications, to Quake Global. Quale Global is a global manufacturer of cutting edge industrial M2M based satellite and terrestrial communicators such as modems and controllers, designed specifically for advanced data acquisition, motion control, machine, process, and regular asset monitoring via satellite, GPS, cellular and other similar emerging technologies.

Stellar Satellite Communications, now an arm of Quake Global, designs and manufactures satellite data communication products, including satellite transceivers with an on-board application processor, satellite communicators, with low-earth orbit satellite network, battery charger, telematics for wireless devices, and power conditioning circuitry which includes digital and analog IOs, RF signal detectors, along with GPS and very high frequency antennas. This technology is used excessively in two-way messaging, tracking and rigorous monitoring applications.
