Integral Systems (News - Alert) announced that Integral Systems Europe (ISE), its European subsidiary, has deployed a carrier monitoring, signal analysis and Radio Frequency (RF) interference detection system for a leading Digital Satellite Television operator.
Bruno Dupas, president of Integral Systems Europe stated, “Expanding our list of broadcast customers further validates our leadership position in providing advanced carrier monitoring, signal analysis and RF interference detection solution in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.”
According to company sources, ISE provided a SAT-DSA (Digital Spectrum (News - Alert) Analyzer) system featuring improved measurement speed because of its unique decimation technology. The system was hosted at Telefonica’s Teleport in Guadalajara, Spain.
In addition, the system has been designed to monitor carrier uplink signals in Spain and is expected to be operated locally or remotely from the broadcaster’s headquarters. Ababola Ingenieros SL, a Spain-based integrator, will take care of local operations and support, said officials.
In a release Lucas Sanz del Castillo, director of Ababola said, “Integral Systems’ SAT-DSA system by far met the end user’s unique carrier monitoring and interference detection needs. The system offers unbeatable capabilities, both in terms of operations and functionalities that perfectly meet the needs of any satellite broadcaster.”
Dupas further pointed out that SAT-DSA is most suitable for broadcasters and service providers desirous to tackle RF interference issues rapidly to ensure Service Level Agreements (SLA) and enhance end user experience.
Company sources said that the high-speed automated monitoring and alarming capabilities featured by the SAT-DSA will help operators to quickly identify and mitigate RF interference issues. SAT-DSA is a product of SAT Corporation (News - Alert) which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Integral Systems, Inc.
Integral Systems provides products, systems and services for satellite command and control, telemetry and digital signal processing, data communications, enterprise network management and communications information assurance.
