TE Connectivity's InterReach DAS to Get Higher Power Remote Antenna Units

By Nathesh, TMCnet Contributor

TE Connectivity (News - Alert) (TE) is said to have designed a new family of higher power remote antenna units for its InterReach Spectrum and InterReach Fusion distributed antenna systems (DAS).

TE Connectivity explained that with InterReach Spectrum (News - Alert) DAS, users can extend wireless services throughout a building, multiple buildings, or campus. Spectrum is capable of catering to the needs of current and emerging wireless networks and can deliver edge-to-edge bandwidth and multi-band flexibility.

With InterReach Fusion, organizations can install a state-of-the-art in-building wireless for campus environments and for areas greater than 250,000 square feet. This DAS is stated to be highly economical and is remarkably easy to maintain.

TE Connectivity asserted that with the new remote antenna units (RAU), Spectrum and Fusion DAS can be installed quickly and cost-effectively because less equipment and cabling will be needed to delivery coverage and capacity. The RAUs are also tweaked to support 3G and 4G network technologies such as W-CDMA and LTE (News - Alert).

These new higher power RAUs also enable DAS architects to enjoy a greater flexibility while designing a system and can seamlessly mix with TE’ current RAUs.

Alan Clarke, president of Network Solutions (News - Alert) at TE Connectivity said, “Greater flexibility and lower costs are the key benefits our customers will gain from these new higher power RAUs. These new InterReach Spectrum and InterReach Fusion RAUs emphasize our position at the forefront of in-building wireless technology in the market”.

TE claimed that it has a storied history of providing reliable, cost-effective solutions to meet the highest signal speeds needed in next-generation wireless broadband networks. Apart from satisfying their higher capacity needs for 4G services, customers will also be able to reduce their total solution cost by employing these new RAUs.

In related news, TE Connectivity enhanced its platform with brand new applications and unveiled MRJ21 XG 10 GbE Copper cabling system.
