Inthinc Technology Solutions (News - Alert) is furthering its commitment to its growing international customer base with the launch of a new operation and support center in La Serena, Chile.
The Chile center offers full Spanish support that includes installation and field services. The facility will also offer technical support as well as warehousing and account management.
Inthinc Technology Solutions is a global provider of telematics, fleet management and driver safety solutions. The company claims its Latin American business has grown by 41 percent over the past year and expects to recreate the magic next year.
The company notes a recent C.J. Driscoll and Associates report according to which Latin American revenue from vehicle location hardware sales and services for fleets and consumers will hit $2.7 billion by 2014.
Through its new La Serena, Chile center, Inthinc will address the increasing demands of its business in South America with direct support.
“As Inthinc expands globally, it is critical that we provide direct support to our Latin American-based customers,” said Inthinc CEO Todd Follmer. “Our solution is already in use across several countries in Latin America and we are uniquely suited to scale our operations in various environments. Leading mining and oil & gas global organizations come to us knowing that we can scale to meet their needs.”
Inthinc is serving several customers in South America that use its solution, waySmart, to boost asset management in the company and bring positive change in driver’s behavior.
Inthinc Technology Solutions was in news earlier this year for announcing an agreement with global satellite data communications company ORBCOMM (News - Alert).
