CACI International Signs Contract with U.S. Army

CACI International, Inc. recently announced that the U.S. Army has selected the company as one of several prime contractors to develop, field and sustain turnkey telecommunications solutions on the Global Tactical Advanced Communications Systems (News - Alert) (GTACS) contract.


CACI International will use this five-year indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract to supply various telecommunications needs within the United States and overseas.

CACI provides the technical and analytical expertise, mission understanding, information technology, network solutions and experienced program personnel to help our defense customers prevail in this new era of national security. CACI maintains the TROJAN satellite communications systems, the Army intelligence community's global network for managing and sharing tactical, operational and strategic intelligence information.

According to John Mengucci, CACI chief operating officer and president of U.S. Operations, “The C4ISR solutions and services CACI will provide for the U.S. Army’s Global Tactical Advanced Communications (News - Alert) Systems program are integral in ensuring our soldiers are equipped with the mission-critical systems and networks necessary to safeguard our nation.”

Said CACI president and chief executive officer, Dan Allen, “CACI continues to align our information solutions and services in markets to meet our government’s highest priorities. This new work in global communications for the U.S. Army positions us for advancing our presence and continued growth in our established C4ISR market area.”

The company recently announced it has been awarded a $53-million follow-on contract to continue providing acquisition and lifecycle support for the Expeditionary Warfare and Maritime Surveillance Program Offices (PMS408 and PMS485) of the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA). The award, for a six-month base period and two six-month options, demonstrates CACI's capability in the logistics and material readiness market.

With a force of 60,000 civilian, military and contract support personnel, NAVSEA engineers, procures and maintains the Navy's ships and submarines and their combat systems.
