Looking to boost its telecommunications practices in the Americas, Citi has appointed Gordon (Gordie) Kroft as the Head of its Telecommunications practice in that region. In his new role, Gordon will handle the coverage for various key sectors such as data center and tower infrastructure companies, directories and satellite service providers, and wireline and wireless service providers in the Americas.
To improve the telecommunications practices in the Americas, Gordon will coordinate with Citi's Canadian and Latin American groups. He will also work closely with Eric Medow, Citi's Global Head of Telecommunications.
Gordon started his successful career at Lehman Brothers (News - Alert) in 1997. After that he has been with Barclays since 2008. Gordon has a rich experience in the telecommunications industry as he has served for more than 16 years in this domain. He has worked with some of the largest companies in this sector and has advised them on the defining M&A and financing transactions.
Citi offers a wide range of solutions, specifically designed for telecommunications industry. They include flexible receivables solutions, multiple payment solutions and various points of entry for making payments.

Recently, the bank partnered with SK Telecom (News - Alert) to introduce Mobile Money Ventures, a joint venture company. This partnership will allow both the companies to develop mobile financial services and technologies.
