Custom voice, video and data communications services will now be provided to clients in the Middle East and Southwest Asia by Star Satellite Communications Company PrJsc. Star Satellite Communications is a wholly owned subsidiary of Yahsat.
CapRock’s (News - Alert) government division has launched CommandAccess network in Dec. 2009. The design, equipment installation and management of a private, custom satellite service built on its CommandAccess network will be provided by CapRock. Remote terminals will be deployed in key areas of operation across the Middle East and Southwest Asia as part of the managed services. Over the course of the two-year contract, the network is expected to grow.
In a release, David Myers who is the executive vice president and general manager, government solutions, CapRock said, "Working together with Yahsat, we are expanding the reach of highly reliable satellite communications to customers in remote areas of the Middle East and Southwest Asia who previously had few options. By leveraging the CommandAccess network, Yahsat's customers will benefit from field-proven capabilities that are specifically designed to meet extreme environmental conditions."
YahService is a business division of Yahsat which is responsible for the integrated satellite communication solutions business. According to Rashed Al Ghafri, GM of YahService, the company’s customers will be offered a unique network solution with the addition of CapRock’s CommandAccess services. The company will also be able to offer outstanding service and support to its customers. In a release, Rashed Al Ghafri said, “This is in line with our strategy to work with the right partners to acquire the latest satellite technologies to deliver complete solutions to a wide range of clients in enterprise, military and government sectors. We look forward to working closely with CapRock.”
