This week, Acme Packet added several new salespeople to its senior team. The company, which specializes in session delivery network solutions, appointed three new members. Paul Wilson was named vice president of Sales for the Asia and Pacific region, Vin LaRocca has been named vice president of Enterprise Sales in North America, and Eric Rapisarda was hired as vice president of Enterprise Product Management and Marketing.

In other news, OKI (News - Alert) has come out with a new line of session border controllers dubbed the CenterStage NX series. Sonus also received accolades this week, as Gartner (News - Alert) recognized the company as a leader in the session border controller space. Gartner placed the company in the “Leaders Quadrant” in its “Magic Quadrant for Session Border Controllers” report. In the report, Gartner highlighter Sonus’ wide range of session border controllers, which runs the gamut from SBCs suited for small businesses to those designed for large enterprises.
