Italtel (News - Alert) has unveiled NetMatch-S, a session border controller, which aims to address the requirements of service providers and enterprises in the arena of sophisticated IP communications and easy All-IP alteration. All the essential features required for ascertaining IP-based sessions among different networks are offered by NetMatch-S.
NetMatch-S offers complete support to IP Network-To-Network Interconnection between IMS/NGN domains. SIP Business trunking and UNI features for both fixed and mobile environments are also offered by NetMatch-S.
The rising requirements for interconnection among autonomous IP networks are handled by NetMatch products. All pertinent features demanded for delivering voice, video and multimedia sessions with definite QoS across IP network borders are also offered.
According to Infonetics (News - Alert), in 2012, the international market of carrier SBC offerings is projected to have touched $324 million. By 2017, this market is expected to increase at a yearly rate of 14.4 percent.
The prospect of monetizing network infrastructure for service providers can be converted into a reality by undertaking a careful treatment to data traffic flows across the network borders and distinguishing QoS profiles for other SPs and OTTs. There is also a rising requirement of the enterprises and public administrations to develop from a basic voice communication approach to a broader set of services. The experience for both employees and citizens can be considerably enhanced by offering mobility, video, additional association along with a social networking.
With a view to fulfill these needs, Italtel developed the NetMatch product family, featuring high performance, versatile scalability, tremendously intuitive operation and decreased TCO.
In a statement, Stefano Pileri, CEO, Italtel said, "Future networks will be intelligent networks. As a technology vendor, we have focused on developing two components that play a key role in this evolution: IMS, the intelligence that will govern networks, and SBC, the Session Border Controller that runs the interoperability between different networks, providing quality and safety. By combining our know how and our advanced professional services on IP networks, we deliver a solution that will support our customers in a smooth transition towards future networks.”
Italtel will be showcasing its products and offerings for All-IP interconnection and interoperability at Mobile World Congress (News - Alert) 2013.
