Comings & Goings: Raul Vera, Lynn Jones and Amber Newman Join Fonality

Fonality (News - Alert) offers business-class Voice over IP (VoIP) phone systems that are designed to save businesses time and money while making it easy to keep track of calls. Tools like their Heads Up Display (HUD) make operating call centers efficient, because call information is displayed directly on the computer screen before the phone is even answered. To ensure that Fonality's customers achieve maximum profitability for their growing businesses, Fonality hired Raul Vera as the new chief technology officer, and added Lynn Jones and Amber Newman to their marketing division.

Company CEO David Scult explains the reason for the hires, noting that “Fonality is experiencing exceptional growth, and it is both exciting and necessary to expand our team by appointing exceptional people to key roles within the organization.” Fonality has received both praise and criticism in online reviews, and he hopes that these new hires will help mitigate these problems. According to him, “We're adding the right people in the right roles to support [our] momentum.”

Raul Vera is an excellent choice for Fonality because he is both an inventor and an experienced manager, with over 24 years of hands-on experience in both software and systems engineering. As a patent-holder of his own invention and co-inventor for four others, he is an excellent choice for resolving security, IT, architechture and other issues with network operations. He has been working with Fonality since 2011 in telecommunication technologies and mobile services as well.

Amber Newman was also named as Fonality's new director of marketing communications. Newman's last job was with ShoreTel (News - Alert), another business VoIP provider, where she served as the senior manager of marketing communications for their cloud division. Moving up to a higher position at Fonality means that she's ready for bigger and better responsibilities. According to her, “the goal isn't just providing cheap dial tone, it's figuring out how communications technology can be leveraged to... effectively utilize resources and address other top-of-mind concerns for business owners and managers”

Lynn Jones is Fonality's new director of demand generation. She has experience in both engineering and sales roles with other cloud-based companies like SMB Suite, and brings that diverse experience to the table at Fonality. Her multi-roled past will prepare her to fill any gap that Fonality may have in many roles.
