Central Desktop has announced that Adeptol has successfully integrated Adeptol Document Viewer into its SaaS (News - Alert) collaboration platform. With this, Central Desktop's customers can now have a single Web-based viewing source for more than 300 document formats, claims the company.
For large companies looking for a powerful, easy-to-use and professional collaboration solution to reduce costs while increasing productivity, Central Desktop is presented as an online collaboration software and Sharepoint Alternative. Central Desktop Enterprise Edition is the top SharePoint Alternative, as it deploys 20 times faster than SharePoint, the company claims.
Equipped with built-in Information Rights Management (IRM), Adeptol Document Viewer is an easy-to-use and secure file viewing solution. Without downloading or installing any client software application on their computers, users can now view any type of document directly from the Adeptol Document Viewer. Adeptol Document Viewer acts as a document container for embedding any kind of documents (including Microsoft (News - Alert) Office, Adobe PDF, images, CAD files and others) in a custom form or Web page.
"Integrating Adeptol Document Viewer into Central Desktop's platform supports our goal of helping our customers work more effectively and efficiently," said Isaac Garcia, CEO and co-founder of Central Desktop. "We evaluated several other online file viewers available on the market, but the ability to view a large number of file formats at high speeds with no plug-ins has really made Adeptol stand out amongst the competition."
Offering developers new possibilities for using native format documents in a custom solution, Adeptol Document Viewer is lightweight and flexible. It addresses high speed document viewing with enhanced security and compliance, states Central Desktop.
In November 2008, the company released its Enterprise Solution Package. The company claims that this new package is an affordable alternative to traditional collaboration software. The Central Desktop platform claims that it offers a complete set of Web 2.0 content, collaboration, conversation and connection tools. According to the company, these tools are integrated into a pure web-based single-sign-on workspace to provide a seamless web 2.0 working atmosphere.
