prairieFyre Software's NET UX2000 Interoperability to Expand Partner Ecosystem

By Mandira Srivastava, TMCnet Contributor

prairieFyre Software, a Microsoft (News - Alert) Gold Certified Communications and Independent Software Vendor (ISV) Partner that develops unified communications and contact center solutions, has successfully tested its prairieFyre Contact Center for Microsoft Lyncinteroperability with the Network Equipment Technologies (NET (News - Alert)) Unified Exchange (UX) 2000 All-in-One Survivable Branch Appliance (SBA).

By using prairieFyre’s Contact Center for Microsoft Lync in conjunction with the NET UX2000, businesses can see a number of benefits. Using UX2000, distributed enterprises can implement unified communications by deploying a single device for all networking and communication needs in a cost effective manner. They can deploy prairieFyre Contact Center for Microsoft Lync as a virtualized application on the Applications Solutions Module (ASM (News - Alert)) of the UX2000, eliminating the cost incurred on a dedicated server.

According to a press release, prairieFyre’s Contact Center for Microsoft Lync is a modular software suite based on the Voice-over-IP and UC architecture of Microsoft Lync Server 2010 and is suitable for small to medium-sized contact centers who are looking to combine the advanced enterprise voice features of the Lync platform with Automatic Call Distributor (ACD) and management applications.

During wide area network outages in a branch office, NET’s UX2000 All-in-One SBA ensures that the Microsoft Lync Server 2010 can still operate at high levels of security and quality. Its single user interface simplifies management and configuration of the gateway, router, and Microsoft SBA for Lync 2010 deployments and includes a built-in session border controller which ensures security for voice data.

“As the cloud rapidly becomes the IT deployment model of choice for businesses of all sizes, NET is excited to be working closely with prairieFyre in making it as easy as possible for customers to deploy a modular, integrated software suite for the contact center and Microsoft Lync," said Kevin Isacks, chief development officer, NET. “Our UX customers can now take advantage of prairieFyre’s innovative software-based approach to the contact center with the confidence that qualified testing provides.”
