Grandstream SIP Cordless Phones Target SMBs, Made Interoperable via Epygi Quadro IP-PBXs

By Madhubanti Rudra, TMCnet Contributor

Grandstream Networks (News - Alert), the manufacturer of IP voice/video telephony and IP video surveillance solutions, revealed that its newly launched DP715/710 DECT Cordless SIP Phones are now compatible with Quadro IP PBXs from Epygi (News - Alert) Technologies.

Grandstream DP715/DP710 Cordless IP Phones were designed to offer wide range indoor/outdoor wireless radio coverage as well as high audio quality. At an affordable price point, these cordless phones offer TLS and SRTP security protection, as well as SIP open standards flexibility, thus garnering further value of IP from a financial and productivity application perspective. Plug-and-play installation allows businesses to add DP715/DP710 phones to IP network without the need for physical hard wiring to an employee’s desktop or other facility location.

The Epygi IP PBX (News - Alert) is designed for SMBs/SMEs and supports up to 300 concurrent calls. It offers support for eight IP phone extensions up to 1,000 on the larger enterprise PBX solution.

Additionally, this system supports SIP lines to connect to an Internet Service Provider, FXO (Foreign Exchange Office) and E1/T1 lines for a medium-sized hybrid office environment.

This interoperability between Grandstream DECT phones and Epygi IP PBX comes as a boon for the small businesses as well as for the customer operating from the home offices. These SMB/ SME and SOHO customers can now use Grandstream SIP/DECT 6.0 compliant Cordless IP Phones throughout offices, facilities, warehouses and retail establishments to gain mobility beyond the desktop, a statement clarified.

“Epygi and Grandstream have worked together for years on many successful installations with high customer satisfaction. The introduction of new SIP devices is always exciting as it allows us to offer new desktop solutions with the Epygi PBXs. Products with mobility are especially attractive to our users because powerful features normally restricted to a user’s desk can now move with them,” director of product management and marketing at Epygi Warren Sonnen (News - Alert) explained in a statement.

A couple of months back, Grandstream Networks  and 2N Telekomunikace, a leading European manufacturer of telecommunication solutions for enterprises and operators worldwide  announced the interoperability of IP Video Telephony Solutions from Grandstream with 2N Helios IP line of Door and Security Intercoms.
