Digium, a provider of Asterisk-based IP phone systems, has announced interoperability between Digium's Switchvox IP PBX (News - Alert) and Schmooze Com's Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) trunking solution, SIPStation.

The certification confirms that Digium’s Switchvox business phone systems now seamlessly work with Schmooze Com's SIPStation, which delivers telephony services using high-speed Internet, eliminating the need for traditional phone services.

Businesses are increasingly turning to VoIP systems to reduce international calling costs. The service is highly beneficial to small and medium businesses as it also delivers several advanced features in an inexpensive manner.
