INFRAX Systems' (IFXY) "OptiCon Network Manager" Chosen by BalsamWest FiberNET as Operational Support Solution to Critical Expansion Needs
(Market Wire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) ST. PETERSBURG, FL -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 01/19/10 --
INFRAX SYSTEMS, Inc. (OTCBB: IFXY),
formerly known as OptiCon Systems, Inc., global provider of OSS
(Operational Support System) software applications for Fiber Based Networks
for the Telecommunications and Energy industry, announced today that
BalsamWest FiberNET has chosen the OPTICON Network Management System (ONMS)
because of its advanced fault-detection, GIS application integration and
ease of implementation through INFRAX's ASP Hosting Services.
"INFRAX's Opticon NMS solution provided the best implementation support
services, the best economics, and the industry's most advanced
fault-detection capabilities," said David Hubbs, CEO at BalsamWest
FiberNET. "We anticipate that we will realize the benefits that other
carriers have experienced, with ONMS contributing to our profitability by
efficiently impacting real business challenges."
Hubbs said, "This year, we will release a suite of services for business
which include a robust, feature-rich VOIP phone product combined with high
speed Internet service, all at very competitive prices. The businesses in
our region need affordable alternatives and deserve to have access to a
variety of converged services that are normally only available in urban
markets, and better management of our network will be critical."
"We are pleased to welcome BalsamWest FiberNET as our first customer under
our new identity, INFRAX Systems, Inc. We are confident that INFRAX Systems
will provide operations solutions for fiber networks in all industries,"
said Paul Aiello, CEO of INFRAX Systems, Inc.
"The scope of the OptiCon NMS as a full-function Operations Support System
integrated with GIS, Database, and Fiber Management tools that facilitate
fault detection and network provisioning, provides an economical way to
establish fiber-based network management services in a scalable manner,"
continued Aiello. "This functionality of this product will be further
optimized for fiber networks in 2010."
Ron Massingale, VP of Sales and Marketing, commented, "The breadth and
depth of the application capabilities, especially its GIS integration, will
identify network outages, allowing us to improve customer service without
disrupting our business operations. We've tried other operations software
solutions, but their lack of implementation support consumed too many of
our resources to be effective. The support offered to us by INFRAX, makes
this a 'win-win' decision that has already resulted in improving our
network management."
