On-site Service Teams for UK Small Businesses Launched by XLN Telecom

By Calvin Azuri, TMCnet Contributor

XLN Telecom is an independent supplier of business phone lines, call packages and broadband to UK SMEs. The company launched an on-site service team to assist small business owners with a wide range of technology needs that range from installing new or repairing damaged phone sockets to setting up broadband routers or PC networks.

XLN Telecom launched this service in order to meet customer demands for a reliable, low cost, responsive service as many small business users rely on computer and telecom technology, but lack either the time or technical knowledge to carry out some of the more involved tasks.

In a press release, James Wilson, head of Marketing, said, “It’s difficult to install a small business computer network when you are busy serving customers front of house, so our on-site team is designed to give our customers qualified on-site support at less than half the price of competitors, plus the straight forward charges ensure the small business owner gets a great deal. At $115 for an initial 2 hour slot, it’s less than half the price of typical competitor services.”

Now, XLN customers can get help with Assisted Installations that involve router setup and configuration, wireless configuration, anti-virus setup and installation on up to three PC’s, optimization of broadband connection by installing new faceplate and/or wiring if required. With regards to General Engineer visits customers can get extension cable installation, rewiring office or retail network setup, PC Installation, general troubleshooting and fault finding and broadband optimization.

XLN Telecom is focused on providing the lowest cost telecom services and highest customer service levels to the U.K.’s small business community. XLN was founded in 2002 and is now the U.K.’s largest independent provider of telecom services to small businesses in Britain. The company now has over 115,000 business customers across the country. In 2007, XLN was ranked as the highest placed Telco company in The Sunday Times Tech Track and was listed for a second consecutive year in 2008.
