Nefsis, a provider of online video conferencing services, introduced Nefsis Basic, a new no-cost online service that allows independent contractors, entrepreneurs and small office owners to work with clients and colleagues through easy, secure meetings over the Web.
With Nefsis Basic, professionals have the facility to enjoy face-to-face meeting without the cost and difficulty indulged in flying or driving. Subscribers in the U.S. and Canada can enjoy the benefits of Nefsis Basic. They can initiate a live two-way online video conference with the other party anywhere in the world.
Both parties can see each other and can share presentations, documents and desktops. Moreover, Nefsis Basic includes two-party Voice over IP or “VoIP” audio, which helps the meeting participants save the cost on phone calls.
Steven Peltier, chief executive officer of Nefsis, said, "The online meeting format for viewing slides or sharing other information has become common in the business world."
According to Peltier, online meeting format is of poor quality when real-time video conferencing is added to the presentation.
Nefsis Basic solves this problem by offering an online solution that combines two-way video conferencing, collaboration and VoIP with business-grade security without any expense to the user.
The Nefsis Basic service is ideal for consultants, freelancers and entrepreneurs who have a small home or office business.
The working of Nefsis Basic is simple. The conference host receives a custom Internet address and it is to be sent to the other party. The second party has to click on the link to join the live video conference. A Web cam provides video input, and documents, applications or the user’s desktop can be pulled up easily.
According to company officials, a Nefsis Basic Session features conference room passwords and standard SSL/TLS security.
Nefsis Basic makes use of advantages of the innovative technology to deliver high-quality video conferencing through cloud computing and multi-core processing, company officials said.
Nefsis Professional allows any number of parties to be connected in real time to a single online video conference. It supports HD-quality video and also provides advanced collaboration methods such as media sharing and live annotation over shared applications, according to company officials.
