NextAlarm Celebrates Two Significant Achievements

By Carolyn J Dawson, TMCnet Contributor

NextAlarm (News - Alert) Monitoring Services Inc., a provider of innovative monitoring security and fire alarm systems, announced that it is celebrating two significant milestones, accomplished in the last decade. Its first and loyal customer has completed a 10 year relationship with the company. Secondly, NextAlarm’s servers have recently processed its 100 millionth alarm signal.

NextAlarm develops and patents technologies focused on enhancing the functionality of already installed systems. Now the subscribers can either continue with their previously installed alarm systems, or can go with a new alarm system at process much lower than those offered by other agencies.

NextAlarm initially offered its services towards home security to small business owners and at home, way back in 2000. Over the years NextAlarm has formed successful partnerships with resellers, central stations and other related service operators who provide security services to a wide market range which is inaccessible to NextAlarm especially rented houses and locations without phone lines, and now NextAlarm manages a large base across the United States and Canada as well. It has processed more than 848,903 signals, which include maintenance and emergency alerts, test signals, notifications of armed and disarmed systems.

NextAlarm has extended the life of more than 40 million alarm systems in the United States alone. These have been installed in homes and businesses, both small and medium. NextAlarm’s Alarm Broadband Network (ABN) is very popular, and considered its best product. It is designed to send signals over broadband internet, replacing communications over the standard telephone lines. The alarm systems also have a series of advanced notification features, and these include SMS, e-mail and the recently launched, video surveillance.

In a press release, the CEO of NextAlarm, Alex Elliot (News - Alert), commented, "Both of these milestones reflect our stability. We've shown consistent growth with a minimum of overhead, and we've been working on and perfecting our techniques for converting the huge install base out there into paying accounts. The company is in the final stages of an expansion capital raise, and I believe NextAlarm will expand into a major player very quickly."
