Vennetics Debuts Moozler OneAPI Service

By Jayashree Adkoli, TMCnet Contributor

Vennetics, a provider of telecommunication and IT application solutions, announced the launch of the world’s first GSM association OneAPI (News - Alert) service, Moozler.

For those unaware, GSMA’s OneAPI complements existing client-side and Web APIs by providing access to network capabilities and information, regardless of operator, and via Web applications rather than device client.

Vennetics allows mobile operators to benefit from the commercial opportunities that are emerging as new IP-based technologies. In this regard, the company has developed a technology that will link the mobile phone of a user with his or her PC.

According to Vennetics, the new OneAPI service opens a new channel of internet revenues to mobile operators. It is an entirely new category of managed service for mobile operators globally. To launch Moozler, the company offered J-Box products to Ireland’s IP telephony network, Blueface.

Offered as a hosted managed service, Moozler provides the full power of the GSM network to the PC screens of end users.

According to Vennetics, the voice, messaging and media features of the Moozler service will be a revelation to a desktop application marketplace. With the help of Moozler, mobile operators can step into the PC domain.

The new GSM association OneAPI service adds the best that Internet telephony has to offer, around the mobile phone, said officials with the company.

With the help of Moozler, users can seamlessly move the call to a better quality GSM connection if quality problems arise on an Internet call from the user’s PC. With the help of Moozler, users can seamlessly swap the conversation across to a PC with a camera when they want to add video to a call from any standard GSM handset.

Since Moozler is offered as a hosted managed service, mobile operators are required to make only a standard inter-network connection with the regulated Blueface telephony network. This will enable the mobile operators to make new revenues streams, according to existing wholesale settlement processes.

Apart from offering the power of GSM networks to the PC based users, mobile operators can also enjoy the incremental cash flow with Moozler as those capabilities are consumed.

Moozler shares the users existing mobile number. So, complete range of Moozler features is available immediately to any GSM user, without having to visit websites to buy new phone numbers or new bundles of voice minutes from Internet companies.

Alan Foy, CEO at Blueface said, "The development and rollout of the Moozler service is built on a strong strategic partnership between Blueface and Vennetics. We are confident that global operators and developers alike will be excited about the opportunities and benefits that the service represents.”

Foy added, “Blueface and Vennetics have brought their respective capabilities together in order to define a new solution category, which uniquely addresses a real need in the marketplace”.

Kieran Dalton, chairman of Vennetics said, "The launch of the Moozler service is a milestone in the development of telecommunications web services. This is clearly an application that advances the service footprint of GSM operators into the Internet domain, in a manner that was not previously achievable.”
