Panasonic Leads in Small Business Phone Systems

The first half of calendar year 2010 belonged to Panasonic (News - Alert) System Networks Company of America, which announced the achievement of first place in the small business telephone market. According to a latest market research, the company continued to lead the market for the first half of calendar year 2010. The information was released by the Parsippany, NJ-based information technology market research firm, T3i Group, in September of this year.


The T3i report, “InfoTrack for Enterprise Communications (News - Alert), North America,” reports that Panasonic achieved 21 percent market share for the North American market in Q1 with a six point lead over competitor Vertical Communications and 20 percent in Q2 with a three point lead over Avaya (News - Alert)/Nortel. The executive summary also notes that Panasonic experienced "solid gains in line shipments," reporting 6.2 percent growth quarter-over-quarter for Q1, and 19 percent growth for Q2. Year-over-year shipments were up 26.3 percent and four percent for the first two quarters respectively.

With the goal to keep the customers “connected, informed, accessible and secure,” the company offers a complete suite of Panasonic solutions designed to address home and business communications, security and surveillance systems, retail information systems, office productivity solutions, and high definition visual conferencing. With increasing number of businesses choosing Panasonic business phone systems, the brand, according to the report, dominated the small and medium business scenes all through the first half of the year. Panasonic also continue to be the top brand for custom installers. A recent survey conducted by CEPro magazine concludes that 80 percent of the installers surveyed reported using Panasonic telephone products.

The brand Panasonic is known for its reliability. In addition, Panasonic solution portfolio is flexible and affordable. These make them ideal for the small and medium-sized businesses, which can improve their bottom lines by using Panasonic solutions.

CEPro is a leading trade magazine covering the custom electronics business. The phone was chosen by a panel of industry experts, custom electronics integrators and the editors of CEPro as one of the most noteworthy and innovative products of the year in the Digital Phone (News - Alert) System/Dedicated Intercom product category.
