PhoenixSoft announced today that pre-paid calling cards provider AllCompass Communications has upgraded its legacy switching platform to PhoenixSoft’s new Cirrus Softswitch

solution. Before the upgrade, AllCompass’ 20,000-port network was powered by PhoenixSoft’s legacy CMS switch and a few smaller NACT (News - Alert) switches.
PhoenixSoft’s new Cirrus Softswitch will allow AllCompass to integrate the multiple platforms and develop new VoIP

applications. The service provider will also be able to add several new functionalities and boost their revenue. The simplified network architectures also help cut costs.
“We’ve been using PhoenixSoft switching solutions for three years now and are very satisfied with the quality and reliability of the new Cirrus softswitch,” said CEO of Allcompass, Jay Kim. “With network technologies moving to VoIP, we’re especially happy PhoenixSoft developed a viable migration path for us. The Cirrus Softswitch easily upgraded our legacy network. We can now take advantage of new, high quality VoIP routes and eliminate many costly components within our network. In addition, the upgrade investment allows us to offer more competitive pricing with five times the capacity to accommodate our increased traffic.”
“Our goal is always to develop long-term partnerships with our customers,” said Paul Amick (News - Alert), PhoenixSoft’s co-founder. “To do this, we must continually develop technologies that address current network issues and bring real value to our customers’ business models at the same time.
“Providing an easy migration path for AllCompass that reduced component requirements yet capitalized on their previous network investments was very important to us,” continued Amick. “With Cirrus, we’re able to migrate not only our customers operating legacy PhoenixSoft switches, but all service providers with legacy networks. We’re confident the feature-rich Cirrus Softswitch will greatly impact AllCompass and its customers and we look forward to serving their switching requirements well into the future.”
AllCompass offers a range of pre-paid calling cards, including the Call Me, Call Max, Para Ti, Tele Asia, Tele Mobile, Tell Me and Zoom brands through a distribution network extending across the United States. All the calls are routed through a private tier one network that ensures maximum quality.
PhoenixSoft is a specialist in telephony solutions for converged networks. In addition to its Cirrus Softswitch solution, the company offers integrated Billing and Retail Web Portal solutions.
