NexHorizon Triple Play, VoIP Co., Undergoing Infrastructure Upgrade

By Anil Sharma, TMCnet Contributor

NexHorizon Communications (News - Alert), Inc. announced today that it’s completed phase 2 of its infrastructure upgrade in its southeast Colorado systems.

The company also announced that it has consolidated the Holly distribution site with Granada to help eliminate redundant operating costs.

NexHorizon said it has completed its billing conversion to the Great Lakes WINS software for all cable systems in both Colorado and California.

“The upgrades will enable NexHorizon to begin offering High-speed Internet and its re-branded digital phone service (VoIP) in Granada and Holly immediately. The infrastructure upgrades will enable the Company to offer various speeds at competitive prices in all of our markets for Internet service,” said Calvin D. Smiley, Sr. chief executive officer for NexHorizon.

NexHorizon Communications, Inc. says it’s focused on delivering broadband solutions to rural communities through strategic acquisitions and mergers.

The company says it’s closed on its first cable television system and has selected additional strategic cable television systems all to be upgraded and consolidated, resulting in increased bandwidth, improved customer service, and improved reliability.

NexHorizon is focused on delivering a true “triple-play” of digital video, High-Speed data, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), and other related broadband solutions. The Company plans to acquire additional rural cable television systems and synergistic technology to assist in executing its Strategic Business Plan.

NexHorizon Communications, Inc. in May this year had announced that it is expanding its service offering to include Triple Play (News - Alert) Voice, Data, and Video services.

In order to effectively communicate the availability of the Triple Play service, NexHorizon has entered into an agreement to partner with Ad Systems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Praebius Communications, Inc., to provide its newest advertising insertion technology for cable television providers.

The product, Addige.net, utilizes a proprietary technology that allows it to operate in cable systems that have not had the capability of locally inserted advertising.

Smiley, said, “Addige Commercial Inserter Systems have earned their reputation for reliability. Cable operators and turn-key ad operators across the United States and around the world rely on the Addige.”
