Avtex (News - Alert) Solutions has acquired DialPro Tennessee, Inc.

 

The Nashville-based DialPro Tennessee was founded in 1987 as a provider of Integrated Voice Processing technology solutions for OPCOM, VMX, Octel and Avaya. In 1997, they became a VAR (Value Added Reseller) for Interactive Intelligence (News - Alert) designing, implementing and supporting the Interaction Center Platform.

 

This marks the sixth acquisition for Avtex over the last six years.

 

Avtex acquired Delta Communications of Milwaukee Wisconsin, in October 2008; Perimeter Technology (News - Alert) of Atlanta Georgia, in November 2007; Interactive Solutions International LLC (ISI) of Cincinnati Ohio, in March 2006; Telstar Communications, Inc., of Appleton Wisconsin, in August 2005; and Soltris, Inc., of Minneapolis Minnesota, in June 2003.

 

The acquisition of DialPro merges two companies focused on contact center, unified communications, IP Telephony, and network solutions. The combined companies will operate as Avtex Solutions based in Minneapolis Minnesota.

 

"This moves us closer toward our goal of expansion in the southeastern area of the United States, increases our customer base and offers exciting growth opportunities for our employees," said Robert Denman, president of Avtex Solutions, in a statement.

 

John Mennen, president of DialPro Tennessee, said the combination of the two companies will bring unified communications, contact center and enterprise solution expertise to the current clients and a broader market of companies in the Southeast Region.

 

Mennen said that Avtex adheres to the same principals as DialPro Tennessee with regards to providing extraordinary customer service to their clients. Both companies have a large base of legacy voicemail systems that will continue to be supported at the highest level, he added.

 

Avtex Solutions, a unified communications solution provider, offers multimedia contact center, IP Telephony, messaging applications, enterprise-wide collaboration, and emergency notification and network solutions.

 

Earlier in June 8x8 (News - Alert), Inc., provider of Packet8 business, mobile and residential communication services, had announced that it has signed an agreement with Minneapolis-based unified communications solution provider Avtex calling for the migration of its iTELConnect subscriber base to the Packet8 business services platform.
