MyFax Improves Tessuto Vertica's Workflow Efficiency

By Vivek Naik, TMCnet Contributor

MyFax, an independent business vertical and also a provider of Software-as-a-Solution, or “SaaS (News - Alert)” from Protus IP Solutions, reportedly announced that its namesake solution has been successfully integrated into the sales operations of Tessuto Vertica, a wall covering vendor.

Company officials said that the solution has helped top officials to function remotely without any workflow hiccups. For example, John Midkiff, the director of operations for Tessuto Vertica, works out of a remote office in North Carolina and the company has its headquarters at Atlanta, and yet faxes are being exchanged on time, every time, and any time.
“When I’m out of the office and a customer sends a fax I can see it immediately as a PDF document,” Midkiff said in a statement. “If it’s a hot order, I will pull out my laptop, establish a wireless Internet connection and process it immediately. It’s really helped us improve our ability to serve our customers and run the business efficiently. We would have trouble processing our high volume of faxed orders without it.”
The company said that customers do not require fax specific phone lines or even fax machines because the unique service sends and receives faxes via email accounts. The immediate benefits are: a reduced carbon foot print due to less power consumption, reduced bills for power and fax machine maintenance or upgrade, and it is also available as a SaaS.
SaaS gives customers the freedom to use and pay for only select components of their choice from software suites, and the flexibility to add other requisites as and when the need arises. Previously, innovative customer-driven requests for ‘a use and pay when required only’ approach, entire solutions had to be bought and installed at a significantly higher one-time cost.
MyFax (News - Alert) said that its document control and management is simple and agile. Midkiff said that it easily saves each user 20 minutes to 30 minutes per day in document management alone, and that his company’s sales are no longer at risk due to the nature of paper faxes and fax machines.
“All it would take is one big sales order to fall on the floor and roll under a cabinet,” Midkiff said. “Not only would we lose that order, we’d most likely lose any future business from that customer and the sales reps might hesitate to recommend us for a project. It’s a small industry, too, and word gets around. MyFax removes all of that risk for us.”
Tessuto Vertica is offering existing and prospective customers a toll free number so they can send in faxes without having to pay for them, and getting something free always puts people in a good frame of mind. Midkiff’s take is that it has been good for business, both from the standpoint of making the company look larger than it is, and for making it easy for customers to work with them because all businesses are scrutinizing expenses closely and no one hesitates to call a toll-free number.
MyFax’s parent company, Protus IP Solutions (News - Alert), recently  announced that it has successfully integrated its so-called Campaigner e-mail marketing service into SaaS business communications suite that includes its IP technology standalone also tools such as MyFax and my1voice, a VoIP Private Branch eXchange product.
In January, Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC) bestowed the 2008 Product of the Year Award to both MyFax and my1voice in their individual categories at the INTERNET TELEPHONY Conference and EXPO East 2009 awards ceremony, and deemed MyFax the fastest growing service of its kind.
MyFax has also earned other awards such as: Customer Service Management Team of the Year and Customer Service Department of the Year in the third annual Stevie Awards for Sales and Customer Service; and, four Gold Awards from TopTenREVIEWS, an Internet publisher of expert technology and entertainment reviews seen by millions of consumers.
