NuVox, a provider of voice, data, business applications, and security services for business customers, reportedly announced it has launched a Social Media campaign to increase brand awareness and establish an enhanced presence on the World Wide Web.
The company claims it has blended together old style public relations with modern day in vogue social media strategy to provide its marketing campaign with a huge audience reach. It has effectively extended its presence on
Facebook,
Twitter,
Delicious,
Flickr, and the
NuVox YouTube Channel, and officials claim that methods used seem to be paying off.
This strategy leverages the growing consumer trend which indicates that a high percentage of people turn to
social networks to communicate, recommend and seek advice for all sorts of stuff. There are specific Webspaces that leverage social networking recommendations for the
hospitality industry, the
travel industry,
shopping industry, parent-teacher-student
study sync up, and for
pubs.
"Our Marketing team is constantly exploring and developing creative ways to promote the NuVox (

"Utilizing social media tools allows us to target customers, prospects, dealers, vendor partners, referral agents, and friends. We believe this initiative will boost our presence on the web and allow us to continue building brand awareness for NuVox."
NuVox claims that it has launched a series of very funny videos about its fictional
NuVox Office Genie who is a laid back character with magical powers that are used to deliver solutions such as fax, voice, conferencing, email and data, but always ends up dearly wishing that the company he is in would use NuVox solutions instead so he could live his cool dude life and have ample time to charm all the office ladies.
The company recently
claimed its VoxIP SIP (Session Initiation Protocol (

Alert) Trunking) product is now compatible with
NEC’s UNIVERGE SV8100 and UX5000 IP communications servers. Generally speaking, SIP trunking is a service offered by
Internet telephony service providers so that businesses can adopt VoIP using their Internet connection. That way, they can communicate with others who rely on the PSTN, since the enterprise IP-PBX (

NuVox
said that NEC (

In addition, this will also enable customers to test and certify the interoperability between VoxIP SIP and NEC’s UNIVERGE IP communication systems.
