AirClic Sees Increased Demand for its Data Capture Device

By Nathesh, TMCnet Contributor

AirClic, the mobile solutions provider for business operations, reported said it is seeing increased demand for it’s recently unveiled Fusion all-in-one ruggedized data capture device.

According to AirClic, the Fusion device was designed specifically for the new Motorola (News - Alert) Renegade V950 ruggedized cell phone and includes bar code scanning, electronic signature capture, photo capture, voice notes and advanced GPS capabilities. With these added capabilities, the device is able to expand upon basic ‘proof of delivery’ to provide indisputable proof of service levels and accountability through signature and photo capture.

AirClic (News - Alert) said that its Fusion device is used by companies such as such as All-American Courier to capture instant photographic evidence of damage to assets and other exceptions in the field, get accurate GPS readings with breadcrumbs and recording voice comments instead of using comment codes or typing notes on a small keypad while out in the field.

Mobile field workers can cost effectively capture on-field activities using the Fusion device. The company has said that enterprises now can replace unwieldy ruggedized mobile computers and put the power of information into the hands of more users within an organization with an enterprise-class solution ideal for organizations with short budgets, but broad needs.

Ron Sulzen, courier director at Physicians Reference Laboratory, said that companies talk a lot about doing more with less and for them doing more means having the ability to capture signatures at the point of delivery, not only making their teams on the road more efficient, but also making their jobs easier. In itself, being able to capture signatures on the phone makes the Fusion a powerful part of their operations. But AirClic goes a big step further by offering an arm’s-length number of features at a price point that they have yet to see anyone else come close to matching.

At $499 per device, the total cost of ownership of the AirClic Fusion is one-tenth that of its closest competitor. AirClic Fusion together with the Motorola V950 satisfies the needs of the mobile workforce on-demand.

AirClic officials that with their Fusion offering, they have set a new bar in both price and functionality and the company’s main objective is to get their customers get data from the field into their operating stream faster, easier and affordably. The demands they have encountered ever since unveiling this device only confirms that the AirClic Fusion accomplishes each of these better than any other solution currently available.

Recently AirClic was named AlwaysOn East 100 winner and FreshDirect, a New York-based online grocer selected AirClic as the mobility platform of choice.
