Vienna, Va.-based Alteritech, a subsidiary of Acumen Solutions, is an IT infrastructure consulting and managed services company. It focuses on the needs of law firms, associations, real estate industry enterprises and other mid-market businesses.
Through the partnership with M5 Networks, Alteritech expects to extend its reputation as the preferred one-stop resource for a full spectrum of managed IT services. Company officials said that it gains its first offering in the fast-growing VoIP space thanks to the addition of M5 Networks’ VoIP-based communications services and expertise.
M5 Networks provides VoIP-managed phone systems delivered as a disaster-proof service. The company said that it not only host a customer’s VoIP telephony platform, but also integrate VoIP with a company's sales, staffing, marketing and IT infrastructure.
“VoIP, as implemented by M5 Networks, is an amazingly powerful tool for business, delivering cost efficiencies, operational flexibility, and strategic value,” said Chad Gagnon, managing director of business development at Alteritech.
He said that the company believes the addition of M5 Networks will be of immense benefit, both for Alteritech and for the clients who seek to bring their telecommunications infrastructure into the 21st century.
David Beagle, director of partner operations at M5 Networks, said that of all the many kinds of businesses that can benefit from VoIP-based telephony, Alteritech’s class of customer are most likely to be at the top of the list.
He noted that midsized firms are forced to compete daily against larger companies with greater resources, adding that with VoIP, these firms can lower their monthly telecommunications investment.
In addition, they can also benefit from advanced capabilities like direct inbound dialling tracking, quality call analysis and automatic CRM logging, said Beagle.
Recently, the companies closed their first sale together, serving an investment firm in New York.
