i/o Data Centers, a provider of enterprise collocation and data center solutions, has announced the addition of TeliaSonera (News - Alert) to its list of carriers made available to its data center customers. TeliaSonera International Carrier is a global provider of IP, capacity and voice services.
According to company officials, TeliaSonera International Carrier owns and operates over 27,000 miles of fiber network with about 100 points of presence in 35 countries across Europe, the United States and Asia. TeliaSonera International Carrier delivers IP, capacity and voice services to its customers.
The addition of TeliaSonera International Carrier is expected to provide i/o data center customers more options. The options also include the opportunity to connect directly to Europe's IP backbone.
In a release Kindra Martone, SVP and GM for i/o said, "We constantly look for ways to improve and expand the network services we provide."

i/o operates carrier-neutral data centers and serves its customers optimally by providing direct access to more than a dozen telecommunications carriers including AT&T, Verizon (News - Alert) Business, Level3, AboveNet, AGL, Cogent, Qwest, tw telecom, XO Communications, and now TeliaSonera International Carrier.
Also i/o offers enterprise-grade blended bandwidth and data transport services. Company sources added that no charges are collected for cross-connects. It was emphasized that i/o customers will benefit from savings of more than $25 million over the next three years in cross-connect fees.
