"The agreement with SAIC represents the continued focus Beacon has
committed to solving the complex issues facing our clients, who need to
standardize and consolidate in order to reduce both capital and
operating expenses," said Jerry Bowman, COO of Beacon. "One fantastic
enterprise solution is the SAIC POL solution that offers government and
commercial clients cost-effective, fully converged voice, video, and
data networks which eliminate active electronics between the data center
and the end user at distances ranging from 40 feet to 40 miles. In
addition, the implementation of the SAIC POL means increases in
bandwidth speeds and reductions in IT-related power, space and cooling
expenses. This solution complements Beacons focus on Layer 1
infrastructure, and when combined with ITS Management, could put
significant capital dollars back into the IT and facilities budgets. Our
team is ready to work with SAIC to bring the industry-best ITS
infrastructure solutions to our clients."
