ServInt , a pioneering provider of high-reliability Web hosting for business customers worldwide, undertook the gigantic task of upgrading disk-space to all its customers and announced that it had completed the task a month ahead of schedule.
The free upgrade, one of the many free resource upgrades that ServInt provides to its existing customers, was completed in just 58 days as against the stipulated allotted time span of 90 days.
As a result of the upgrade, existing customers would have access to all the benefits and enhancements offered to new clients. The upgradation was carried out so smoothly that customers were actually unaware that it was underway. Most ServInt VPS hosting customers saw their server disk space enhanced to twice its original capacity. In fact, the increased server disk-space came to light only when the new storage resources came online.
ServInt Founder and CEO, Reed Caldwell lauded the efforts of the engineering team for having implemented the upgrade process in a non intrusive manner.
Caldwell added that upgrades that affected the entire subscriber community required an enormous amount of work behind-the-scenes, and this could impact site availability. But, the massive system enhancement hadn't disrupted services even for a moment.
ServInt frequently resorts to service enhancements as a part of its regular customer service program, for it believes that the customer is best served when no difference is made between existing and new customers.
