Interra International, a worldwide trading company headquartered in Atlanta, has signed a contract with Cypress Communications (News - Alert). Terms of the contract dictate that Cypress will offer its C4 IP managed VoIP

solution to enhance Interra’s business productivity.
C4 IP

is a hosted voice and multimedia solution for small- to medium-sized enterprises. It provides voice service and multimedia features like presence, advanced collaboration tools, unified communications, video calling and conferencing.
Cypress’ solution is a enterprise-class VoIP system that allows multi-location companies and remote employees to link with other resources seamlessly. The solution is scalable, adaptable and dynamic to enable streamlining of all communications. This results in higher productivity and better efficiency.
“We were already using a VoIP product for three years before we went to Cypress,” Ried Thiel, chief information officer at Interra, said in a statement. “The reason we decided to change is that we have international offices and travel quite a bit. Our traders need to have their offices on the go, and no matter where they end up in the world, they have everything they need with C4 IP.”
Interra picked the Cypress solution because of its 24-hour support, ease of remote connectivity with find me/follow me, and tight integration with Microsoft (News - Alert) Office applications. Through C4 IP, Cypress offered a feasible solution to Interra’s issues with its previous VoIP service. In C4 IP, Interra found a comprehensive, fully managed VoIP solution that addressed its communications goals and fit well into the processes currently in place.
C4 IP streamlines the communications process by integrating email and voice services through an advanced Outlook integration feature. Also, by consolidating all communication services with one provider, Interra will be able to achieve its communication goals more efficiently.
Also incorporated into C4 IP is a softphone that enables users to make and receive telephone calls from their PC, without the need to use a traditional telephone. Additionally, it integrates with the user’s Cypress-provided IP desktop phone.
