"Europe is one of the world's fastest growing regions for next-generation communications. Industry analysts expect this region to invest over $1 billion (USD) in IP-Voice technologies in 2010," said Hassan Ahmed, chairman, president and CEO, Sonus Networks, in a press release, "Sonus is strategically expanding its business in those areas that represent the greatest returns for our shareholders. Our expansion in Europe is one of the critical steps we are taking to advance our leadership position on a global basis and generate profitable growth."
The company now focusing on additional growth opportunities thinks Europe as fastest growing regions, where as North American markets still continue to drive significant growth for Sonus.
With the expansion's announcement the company will be able to grow and lead the industry, as they are the providers of world's most advanced IP-Voice solutions to operators. This announcement benefits Europe the most, because it provides new services and network operators to earn more returns from companies.

Our investment across the region reflect our commitment to bringing the value of IP-Voice to consumers across Europe and our belief that we can replicate our success in the United Kingdom in other countries."
Jeremy Duke, president and CEO, Synergy Research Group said in the press release that "During the first nine months of 2007, Sonus has increased its high density gateway market share in EMEA by more than 100 percent, and in Q3, held the number one position for the first time in the company's history."
