YouMail, Inc. and GotVoice, the voice messaging company, have reportedly entered in to a strategic agreement to improve their service offerings and revenues.
YouMail has concluded the agreement by acquiring the existing users of the free GotVoice (News - Alert) Lite service, and will license GotVoice's patented and patent-pending G2 communications platform to expand YouMail's free and premium service capabilities.
The whole acquisition will help YouMail increase the size of its core user base and provide services to users whose wireless carriers don't traditionally support conditional call forwarding.

YouMail can now focus on providing the best consumer voicemail experience, while leveraging GotVoice's business-class voicemail-to-text transformation services using GotVoice's G2 (News - Alert) platform for voicemail aggregation and transformation.

YouMail has been rigorous in growing its market share andhas completely customized customer’s voicemail experience,users are now allowed to retrieve their voicemail online, in e-mail, on their mobile phones, or by calling in, and choose to listen or read their messages. YouMail users can also determine which callers get which greetings and when, how they are notified about voicemail, which callers can leave voicemail and even how voicemails are picked up - in e-mail, online, or over the phone.
