New Global Telecom Surpasses 100,000 VoIP Seats Under Management

By Richard Grigonis

Yours Truly first took not of New Global Telecom (News - Alert) (www.ngt.com) in 2005 when it unveiled release 3.1 of its 6DegressIP managed wholesale product suite, which supported the G.729 voice codec and added some TelPack calling features, such as inventory reporting, Emergency Zones, and call intercept. It also began offering the VoiceSelect Toll-Free service, a new generic URL for service providers, a conference scheduler for end users, and a new advanced provisioning training module.

Around that time, in response to the FCC’s (News - Alert) mandate regarding Enhanced 911 (E911) support for packet-switched callers, NGT managed to develop, test and implement a solution to the complex E911 service requirement in just four months.

These days, New Global Telecom, Inc. is a leading provider of wholesale hosted and trunk-based VoIP solutions in the U.S. The company's nationwide services enable VARs, cable operators, CLECs, and ISPs to deliver a complete communication solution for businesses and end users. Providers report that private label VoIP Service is easy to implement for large VARs and cable operators.

NGT's Network Performance Platform is the foundation of the service suites, delivering predictable end-user quality. NGT Digital Voice Services include a complete range of telephony features, nationwide phone service, worldwide audio/web conferencing, desktop fax services, E911 service, training and other support.

And now, NGT has announced that they have surpassed 100,000 Voice-over-IP (VoIP) seats under management. NGT’s wide range of hosted communication services includes hosted PBX (News - Alert), SIP Trunking, and other Unified Communications (UC) and collaboration services.

The company credits growing expertise within its provisioning team along with enhancements to its systems and processes as enabling it to effectively scale services to meet the demands of its partners. The milestone comes at the end of a strong year for NGT which included 99.994 percent service availability of NGT's fully redundant and geographically diverse network along with continued expansion of its nationwide footprint.

Microsoft (News - Alert) reports that NGT has been a considerable partner for Microsoft’s Response Point, since NGT focuses on quality of service and gives attention to making IP telephony services easy for partners and end users.
