Cyta Launches IMS PC Play Powered by Movial Communicator
Service providers, device manufacturers and network equipment vendors are looking for converged Internet Protocol (IP)-based service across the mobile and fixed domain.
These services need to provide a great end-user experience as well as leverage IP and IP Multimedia Subsystem (News - Alert) (IMS) infrastructure investments and deliver revenue-generating opportunities.
Movial, which enables rich, intuitive Internet experiences on PCs and mobile devices, said Cyprus telecommunications company, Cyta has launched an IMS PC play with its broadband telephony service bundle, powered by Movial (News - Alert) Communicator.
The technology offers exceptional voice quality, advanced high-definition (HD) video capabilities for PC users and a host of converged communication capabilities, Movial said.
Cyta has been in business for 48 years serving the Cypriot telecommunications market. The company provides a complete portfolio of telecommunication services.
Movial's Communicator PC software is based on the company’s proven track record for highly intuitive and advanced video capabilities and consistent user experience.
The company’s PC client software provides a compelling and fully integrated end-user experience including instant messaging (IM), Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and video telephony - all enabled with Presence technology. Along with the broadband telephony service bundle, the software delivers highly advanced, yet easy-to-use, PC services to its subscribers, the company said.
According to Cyta, Movial Communicator has empowered the company to meet the personal and professional needs of its growing customer base with this new revenue generating service.
“Our mission is to continuously improve the business activity and quality of life of our customers by providing the most advanced telecommunication services they need,” said Lefteris Christou, head of Convergent Services and Hosted Applications at Cyta, in a statement.
According to Movial, its solutions deliver the best unified communications to attract new customers and increase communication opportunities for the company’s existing subscribers, Christou added. With this solution, Cyta is able to provide customers with high quality video calls from PC-to-PC in real-time, and PC-to-Mobile in the near future.
Movial provides converged unified communication services to more than 18 carriers around the world. The company claims to have the most IP communication commercial deployments and IMS clients in the world.
