GotVoice, a pioneer in voice messaging services, has launched a solution to receive voice mails by e-mail. This package eliminates the disturbance caused to the users because of frequent ringing. The solution bridges the gap between voice messaging systems and the Internet.
The basic package of Got Voice, which is free for cell phones, residential phones and VoIP
phones, enables user to check voice mail remotely without calling home voice mail many tines a day. The company charges business users for the service.
GotVoice checks and receives voice mails of the user once he registers with it. Except for the first time to complete the verification process, GotVoice package will not cause user’s phone to ring when it checks or receives voicemail.
When a user receives a message on cell phone, he can download and forward that message quickly to anybody using GotVoice. This is not possible with voice mail system, as it does not allow the user to forward. Furthermore voice mail forces the user to listen to messages in the same order they were received.
Users register for this service at www.gotvoice.com by entering his phone number and other details. After completion of this process GotVoice will send a test voice mail as well as an e-mail alert. After that, GotVoice will automatically check for new messages three times each day. If the user wants to check manually, he can do so for 12 times a day.
When there are several messages, user can listen to them in any order. After deleting the message from GotVoice inbox, the message remains on the mobile phone.
The real use of this service can be found while traveling abroad where there is no phone access or the roaming charges are very high.
