Anixter Releases the Installation Pocket Reference Guide

Anixter, a distributor of communications products, has stated that they have released the Installation Pocket Reference Guide. 

According to the company, the guide includes the most up-to-date network and infrastructure industry standards, step-by-step connector termination guides, detailed overviews of cabling systems, installation methodology and products from world-class manufacturers. 


It is important for the installers to understand the latest methodology and standards as new cabling technologies and products are reproduced in the market. Installers are called to understand and work with a variety of cabling media by meeting one different system. With the advent of IP networking, building subsystems have come to a conclusion to replace the traditional approach of underlying infrastructures by modern practices.

Anixter (News - Alert)'s Vice President of Technology for Enterprise Cabling Solutions, Andy Jimenez has stated that the Installation Pocket Reference Guide is an easy-to-use guide for installers with industry standards and methodology. It is a precious tool for installers on the job site with cabling installation and termination information.

The Anixter Installation Pocket Reference Guide consist the knowledge and experience of technical experts across a wide range of fields such as networking cabling, data centers, physical security, industrial and OEM production thus avoiding installers in committing common mistakes. Its portable nature allows installers to take it to any installation requirement site. Anixter continuously examines the performance and operations of the latest technologies and products. 

The portable guide also contains visual examples of the architectures behind twisted-pair, coaxial and fiber cable, step-by-step guides for field terminating these three types of cable as well as charts and tables for understanding performance ratings and impedance values and installation limitations. The other information's available in the guide are network standards, building subsystems and product specifics from industry-leading manufacturers.
