Pliant Technology’s Lightning family of Enterprise Flash Drives or EFDs are now qualified with the LSI CTS2600 family. The LSI Channel Partner (News - Alert) Alliance Program has also been joined by Pliant Technology. Announcements to this regard have been made by Pliant Technology, developer of enterprise-class solid state storage devices.

The LSI CTS2600 family of configurable storage components is designed to provide white box channel customers. Complete external storage systems can be assembled flexibly as per customers' unique specifications. Breakthrough levels of performance, reliability and efficiency can be delivered by Pliant’s EFDs. Data center IT infrastructure and system providers can do more for less with these EFDs. They can achieve higher system performance at a lower cost and power.

Affordable, high-quality external storage components are included in the LSI CTS2600 family. Support for solid-state drives as well as performance and capacity-optimized SAS (News - Alert) drives is provided by the LSI CTS2600 family. LSI white box channel customers now have the option of Pliant Lightning EFDs as the EFDs have qualified with the LSI CTS2600 family. The customers can now integrate into and deliver systems with 6Gb/s SAS back-end drive connects, multi-protocol host connectivity, mixed drive support, simplified management and low power consumption.
